For the first time, we are delighted to be included within the Student Sport Ireland 2024-25 Womens Sport Coaching Academy to support females coaches involved in GAA Handball.
If you are a current 3rd level student, then why not get involved as a coach for your local club or 3rd Level club this year

Student Sport Ireland Statement
Heading into its 4th year, the aim of the academy is to provide female student coaches with the support system that will enable them to develop and reach their coaching potential. Furthermore, the academy aims to increase the number, and visibility, of female coaches in third level institutions and create female role models for other female students to progress into coaching. The Women’s Student Coaching Academy is a collaborative programme between SSI, Sport Ireland, 22 Third-level institutions and 17 sporting National Governing Bodies (NGBs). Throughout the year, the female student coaches will coach a team or athletes, while working alongside a mentor coach. They will also undertake a coaching course with their NGB, keep a weekly journal to track their coaching journey, and attend workshops offered by SSI.
