Specifically, the 4-Wall and Wallball categories experienced a 32% growth, while the Softball category saw an exceptional 100% rise in participation. These statistics underscore the expanding popularity and engagement with handball across the nation.

In tandem with these developments, the role of dedicated volunteers remains indispensable. Recognising their contributions through awards and appreciation initiatives has become a cherished tradition, reinforcing the sense of community that underpins the sport.

As Ireland’s handball scene evolves, the fusion of tradition and innovation ensures that the spirit of the game is preserved while paving the way for exciting new possibilities. This harmonious balance promises a bright future for handball, where participation continues to flourish and the ambition for excellence knows no bounds.

Turning to this year, the Féile will be hosted in various venues across Ulster, with counties Armagh, Cavan, Monaghan, and Tyrone welcoming boys’ and girls’ teams from all over Ireland. The enthusiasm and dedication of the participants and organisers will undoubtedly contribute to another successful event.

The increase in participation numbers across all categories serves as a testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone involved in promoting and developing handball. This reflects the sport's growing appeal and the positive impact of initiatives aimed at encouraging more people to take part in this dynamic and engaging sport.
