A recent initiative by Laois/ Carlow/ Kilkenny county boards resulted in players from all three counties coming together to develop their Softball skills. In a number of organised coaching sessions, cross county groups were set up in various grades.
Over the last number of months these coaching sessions were held in courts in Carlow and Kilkenny on a regular basis and were very well supported by all the players involved. The aim of the coaching was to develop the Softball skills of the players and to expose the players to the enjoyment of the big court game.
This new venture into cross county coaching has been a huge success and the aim is to repeat it in the near future. Well done to all the players, coaches, clubs, parents and the three county boards for developing this initiative.
