A key feature of our #SummerSeries2021 campaign will be a number of unique outdoor 1-day Summer Shootout events where we showcase Handball to new parts of the country, or areas where the tradition of the game has waned.
The shootouts will be positive, fun events, showcasing not just the skill levels but also the benefits of Handball for both young and old and how easy it is to take up as a sport. These tournaments will also incorporate a Have a Go / Coaching element where the top players will impart their skills and tips on any kids who wish to try handball, or who already play the game in the locality.
We are on the lookout for suitable, quirky venue ideas and already have some in mind, but we also want your help in suggesting potential venues.
Some of the criteria (not all compulsory) we would love to find in venues are:
- An iconic / scenic location
- Court in suitable condition to play games on
- Venues in close visual of public footfall
- Within 10 miles of a Handball Club
