After the success of last years campaign, GAA Handball's Summer Series 2022 is back but with a slight twist!
Last years enforced indoor shut down due to Covid forced our hand into devising the Summer Series initiative, but it proved such a popular addition that we will be running the campaign on an annual basis in a bid to continue pushing our game out into the public eye.
Last year saw a fantastic redevelopment of outdoor courts in Manorhamilton and several schools across Belfast. Whilst tournaments where held across Tyrone, Cavan, Dublin, Mayo, Leitrim and Antrim to name but a few.
There are three pillars to this years initiative; (1) Club Tournaments, (2) Refurbishment Grants, (3) Summer Shootout Events.
(1) Summer Series Club Tournaments
If your Club would like to organise a local outdoor tournament with grades / format / code of your choice, register at the below link to receive your complimentary support pack of balls, t-shirts and giveaways. We encourage a strong social and recreational element to these events.
To encourage youth development, every Club who run a juvenile element to their tournament will enter a free draw for a €500 development grant.

(2) Refurbishment Grants
A small funding pool has been devised to create a Small Project Refurbishment Grant. Clubs / Counties can apply for a of max €500 to help reinvigorate outdoor handball courts. An example of eligible costs include new paint, lining of courts, branding, essential maintenance, etc.

(3) Summer Shootout Events
GAA Handball are looking to support 2 x Club/County led unique national/regional Summer Shootout Outdoor Events. Additional funding and administration support from GAA Handball staff is on offer. Primary aim is the targeting of increased PR/Media exposure for our sport outside the existing Handball community. Grants of up to €1k are available.
