The game of Handball is continuing to gather the interest of international GAA Clubs across the world.
Among such Clubs is Sharjah Gales in the United Arab Emirates who held their first successful tournament (Singles & Doubles) of the year, with two Clubs represented on the day; Sharjah Gaels and Ras Al Khaimah. A second tournament is planned for January 2022, with more participants from the other GAA clubs in the UAE being represented.
Mayo man Darragh Ruane is leading the Handball push in the UAE, utilising his vast experience of playing the game back home.
However no Handball experience is required to start up the game in your Club, be it in Ireland or abroad. Get in touch with development.handball@gaa.ie and we can advise how easy it is to get up and running, and support you in your endeavours.
