The 2022 All-Ireland 4-Wall Senior Doubles Finalists have been confirmed after yesterdays SF action in Kingscourt.
In the Ladies, 5 time champs and top seeds Catriona Casey & Aishling O'Keeffe (Cork) defeated Tyrone's Eilise McCrory & Aoife Kelly today 21-14, 21-3, and will now face Kildare's Mollie Dagg & Pauline Gallagher in next Saturday's Final. That was after the Kildare ladies received a walkover by Galway in their SF.
In the first Mens SF, for the third consecutive round, Meath's experienced duo Brian Carroll & Gary McConnell have held their nerve to advance in a tiebreak, as they ended the fairytale run of Wexford young guns Galen Riordan & Mark Doyle on a scoreline of 18-21, 21-11, 11-2.
There they will face Galway's Mulkerrins brothers Martin & Diarmuid, who had an impressive 21-16, 21-10 win over Kilkenny's Funchion brothers Peter & Patrick.
The Senior Finals kick off from 3.30pm next Saturday, as part of the weekend long Doubles Finals Festival that includes all the other Adult & Masters Finals as well.
