1st Round Preview - MyClubshop.ie 60x30 All-Irelands

This week sees the start of the myclubshop.ie 60 x 30 All Ireland Championship for 2017, with Round One games taking place across the country tonight (Monday 31/07/2017) and tomorrow night (Tuesday 1/08/2017).

From the get go the draws for the 2017 competition are action packed – and though the top seeds are all through to the Quarter final stage, that doesn’t take away from this week’s action.

First up, Kilkenny native Ciaran Neary will take on Galway’s Ollie Conway in Crinkle, Co Offaly @ 7.30pm on Monday 31/07/2017. This game will be a tight call as both sides are experienced players with no shortage of talent.

Tuesday night’s action begins with Martin Mulkerrins (Galway) taking on James Brady (Cavan) in St Coman’s, Co Roscommon @ 7.30pm. Though Brady is ranked higher than Mulkerrins in the ‘Big Alley’ it is hard to look past Mulkerrins in any code of handball, as his impressive form for this year continues. This game is again tricky to call and will surely be a tight affair.

Barry Devlin (Tyrone) will meet Rikki O’Gara (Roscommon) @ 8.00pm in Fenagh, Co Carlow, both men will be vying for a win and as they are currently seeded next to each other it is game that will more than likely go down to the wire.

Lastly, another Kilkenny native, Brian Minogue faces off against Michael Gregan (Wicklow) in Garryhill, Co Carlow @ 8.30pm. Both men are well used to the big alley and have an abundance of experience on their side.

If you are close to any of the venues on the night(s) in question, make sure to call in and watch what is sure to be an exciting game of handball.

The results of each game can be found here on Wednesday 02/07/2017.
