O’Neills - Team Ireland World Championship Jersey Launch

Yesterday (Wednesday 1st August) saw the official launch of the 2018 GAA Handball Team Ireland World Championship Jerseys in association with O'Neill's International Sportswear.

Present at yesterdays launch at the O'Neills Factory in Dublin were three high profile members of Team Ireland;

  • Martin Mulkerrins (Galway) - Team Captain & current All-Ireland Champion
  • Paul Brady (Cavan) - reigning 5 time World Champion
  • Aisling Reilly (Antrim) - reigning 2 time World Champion

O'Neill's Marketing Manager Cormac Farrell spoke of their delight at being involved with GAA Handball and showcasing their brand to an international audience at the World Championships.

GAA Handball Uachtaran Joe Masterson expressed his thanks to O'Neills & Cormac Farrell for their continued and long standing help and support of GAA Handball on a year long, annual basis.

O'Neills have produced a sleek new look for the Irish Handball squad with three new jerseys which will be released for public sale soon.

2018 World Handball Championships:

The 2018 Worlds will take place in Minnesota on August 9th - 19th and Team Ireland have 13 players travelling on the official party. Each of these members have earned their right to compete via a series of qualifying events and will be well placed to be fighting for gold medals in all their grades.

In total, 10 countries are represented in this years World Championships, which are held every three years. Ireland are due next to be hosting the 2021 Worlds.
