Last weekend saw 48 young stars compete at the National Cumann na mBunscoil Handball Day, representing their Provinces with pride having won through their respective County & Provincial heats.
Two years have passed since the last edition of this event, so it was refreshing to see the enthusiasm of youth, and as ever the very impressive skill sets of the next generation of GAA Handball stars.
Cumann na mBunscoil National Development Officer Gerry O'Meara was in attendance and spoke of his admiration of the talent on show, and of the day in general, thanking parents/coaches, volunteer referees, and GAA Handball staff for coordinating the day. A special mention must also go to the County & Provincial Blitz organisers who coordinated all the qualifying rounds across the country.
