Saturday was a fantastic day for the Maynooth GAA Handball club who were treated to an excellent exhibition of handball from two of Ireland’s finest players Eoin Kennedy and Seamus O’Carroll.
This was the first game to be played on our brand new outdoor courts at the club. They sparked the fire in the bellies of the children watching and they just couldn’t wait to give the game a go after they got their goodies signed by the two handball stars.
GAA Handball we delighted to contribute some promotional giveaways and equipment, while Andrew McGinley from As Darragh Did was present to hand over the cheque for €1000 which will go towards providing handballs for hundreds of our club members.
The Club has already had plenty of interest in the Handball for Mothers and Others, and for the Dads and Lads. Anyone who missed out can email maynoothhandballclub@gmail.com to get their name on the list to join one of these groups.
We hope this will be the start of a very busy year for handball in the club.
The Club are also running a Social Handball Night beginning this Friday from 7-9pm. Call in and give this great game a go!
