Charlie Shanks' victory at last weekends Golden Gloves in Belfast has seen him replace Meath's Brian Carroll at #4 in the Irish Rankings, whilst Peter Funchion's run to the final has seen him leap into the top ten for the first time.
Semi-finalists CJ Fitzpatrick and Colin Crehan also make significant moves, with CJ jumping four places to 11th, and Crehan jumps 7 places to 14th, breaking into the top 16 for the first time. Westmeath's Robbie McCarthy remains on top despite Diarmaid Nash being level on points. With points tied, whoever scored most ranking points in the highest profile event (All-Ireland Senior SIngles) claims the higher rank, with Robbie of course winning this years All-Ireland in the most dramatic of fashion, 21-20 in the third against Charlie Shanks.
There is very little change in the Ladies Rankings, as Aisling Reilly retains her top spot. Lorraine Havern moves up two places into 10th in the only change after the Golden Gloves.
