GAA Handball are delighted to announce details of the upcoming trials for places on Juvenile Team Ireland, which will be travelling in December to compete in the US Junior 4-Wall Nationals in East Bay, San Francisco on December 27th - 30th.
The players will be selected using a trial event which will take place in Kingscourt on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th of November.
To be eligible to play in the trial event, a player must have played in at least one competition in ALL THREE handball codes; 4 Wall, Softball, Wallball. The qualifying competitions for each are the Nationals and Championship in each code. A player must also be at the correct age where they would still be eligible for the international grade when the trip is on.
Age Eligibility Requirements:
- 15&U: Participants may be a maximum age of 15 years old on 30/12//2022
- 17&U: Participants may be a maximum age of 17 years old on 30/12//2022
- 19&U: Participants may be a maximum age of 19 years old on 30/12//2022
The team to take part in this trip will be made up of 6 players altogether. There will be a male and female representative at 15&U, 17&U and 19&U level. This represents our best players in the grades used for Nationals events across the 3 codes. These grades will also match up against the US grades for 15&U, 17&U and 19&U.
