Galway GAA Handball hosted an inaugural Juvenile Interclub last weekend. The event was run to promote greater long term participation and a team based ethos within a club to support player retention. There was great support with over 40 teams entered in U11, U13, U16 and U18. Teams descended on 4 host venues in Micheal Breathach, Moycullen, Salthill and Claregalway. For many, this was their first time playing and the refs and coaches offered encouragement and support during the games. Galway county board are indebted to all the host venues, refs, OICs and most especially to the clubs for making this such a success.

The under 13 boys final is between Cumann Liathróid Láimhe Inis Mór and Cumann Liathróid Láimhe Micheál Breathnach as both topped their respective groups. In under 16 boys final Moycullen will face Abbeyknockmoy, with both having won all their group games. In Boys U18 Claregalway will face Moycullen, while in the Girls 17&Under there are 5 teams to play group games.
