
The Gael Linn title is heading for Inis Mor, Co Galway following the conclusion of the successful national competition, the finals of which took place at Ballydesmond HC last Sunday.
Pride of place went to siblings Bertie and Maeve Donohue, who won the cup title, seeing off valiant runners-up Emma Conway and Sean McGlinchey from Greencastle, Co Tyrone.
The Solas Plate final was won by Grace Murphy and Sean Kerrisk from the host club; runners-up were Clodagh Quirke and Seamus Moriarty from the Glenbeigh club in Kerry.
The competition, for U13 players, is played as two singles games followed by a mixed doubles.
Ballydesmond were honoured to welcome Uachtarán Conor Mc Donnell to their club for his very first official engagement. Club spirit was truly alive with Gaeilge, music, Liathroid Láimhe and a huge Céad Míle Fáilte for Conor and all present at Gael Linn 2023 in Cork.
