Gael Linn 2018

Beidh an comórtas 2018 Gael Linn ar siúl i Salthill HC, Gaillimh ar an Domhnach 28 Eanáir ag tosú ag 12 lá. Tá an comórtas Gael Linn á reáchtáil trí Ghaeilge le húsáid na Gaeilge a spreagtar ar fud an chomórtais.

The 2018 Gael Linn competition will take place in Salthill HC, Galway on Sunday 28th January starting at 12noon.The Gael Linn competition is run through Irish with the use of the Irish language encouraged throughout the competition.

Sixteen young players from eight clubs around the country, two clubs representing each province will play two singles games followed by a mixed doubles game and it promises to be a fantastic day of juvenile handball in Salthill. The following are the list of participants taking part and the draws for the Corn and Sólas competitions are attached below.

The representatives from each province are as follows:

Connacht Reps

  • Abbeyknockmoy HC, Galway – Emma Kinane & Gavin Kelly 
  • Castleconnor HC, Sligo – Karley Cooney & Darragh Bourke

Leinster Reps 

  • Clogh, Kilkenny – Aishling Ni Cuana & Micheal O Braonin
  • Galmoy, Kilkenny – Una Ni Dhugain & Niall O Draighneain

Munster Reps

  • Lahorna, Tipperary – Hannah Grace & Jack Mulcahy
  • Boherbue, Cork – Carmel Kelliher & Donal Murphy

Ulster Reps

  • Loughmacrory, Tyrone – Dearbhail Fox & Eoin McElholm
  • Monaghan Harps, Monaghan – Emily McGinnity & Sean Callan

Note: The ball used for the Gael Linn competition is the Challenger 2 Handball.

Please note there is a Senior Hurling League match between Galway and Antrim on this Sunday also in Pearse Stadium at 1pm (throw-in). Please park in the designated Car Parks and to park legally and responsibly at all times.
