Final 4 Confirmed

After two days of matches, only 4 are left standing in the 2022 O'Neills All-Ireland 4-Wall Senior Championship.

Diarmaid Nash stole the show on Sunday, dominating Irish #1 Martin Mulkerrins with a 21-5, 21-14 SF, having also defeated Peter Funchion in Saturday's QF. Next Saturday's Final will be Nash's third attempt at taking All-Ireland glory, ironically having fallen to his Final opponent this year Robbie McCarthy in 2019 & 2014.

McCarthy himself showcased what a class act he is, seeing off Colin Crehan & Charly Shanks over the weekend, both in straight games. McCarthy will start as favourite given his remarkable record of reaching 9 of the last 10 Senior 4-Wall Singles Finals.

In the Ladies, Catriona Casey ruthlessly saw off Pauline Gallagher & Eilise McCrory to reach her 8th consecutive final. There she will play her huge rival of recent years Martina McMahon. McMahon, making her comeback from a serious back injury also proved to be a class apart all weekend, comfortably seeing off Fiona Tully & Megan McCann.

The Senior Finals will take place next Saturday in Kingscourt HC, Cavan from 2pm. They will be part of a huge three day Finals Festival Weekend that sees all Adult, Masters and Juvenile Finals played at the same venue. Full details of the Finals Festival Weekend will be released by GAA Handball this week.
