FÉILE NA NGAEL 2022 - ROUNDUP

The John West sponsored national Féile na nGael Handball competition has once again proved to be an exceptional day of Handball as the county’s top young Under 15 Handballers displayed great skills for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to all the clubs who travelled in their droves to all the venues across Carlow, laois & kilkenny venues on Saturday passed.

With the event returning after a two year hiatus, it was great to see over 300 players descend to the south east for jammed packed day of handball.

In Division 1 Girls loughmacrory (Tyrone)  created history by bringing the All Ireland girls division one feile title back to Tyrone for the first time. In the Boys Division 1 Talbots Inch (Kilkenny) edged out Abbeyknockmoy (Galway) in a pulsating final by just 4 points.

In the Wallball Clough-Ballacolla (Laois) completed a famous double by capturing both the Girls and Boys titles. The girls had a narrow victory over Laochra Láimhe na Modhscoile (Limerick) were the boys got over the line against a very good Naomh Eanna (Antrim) side.

GAA Handball would like to thank all the Carlow, Laois & Kilkenny venues for their hospitality and especially all the volunteers at each venue who ran everything so smoothly on the day.We also thank all the coaches, parents, the National and Local Féile organising committee’s, but most important of all, we would like to congratulate all the players for contributing to such a brilliant day of Handball that will live long in their memories.
