GAA Handball are delighted to be part of the John West Féile na nGael festival, the Handball event takes place on Saturday 16th June in Galway venues.Féile na nGael is a Club festival for Handball, Hurling, Camogie and Football at Under 14 level, involving teams from across the Association. The fixtures for the Handball competitions have just been released – see below.
This year’s event promises to be one of the largest Handball Féile competitions of all time, with the new standalone weekend being very well supported by our clubs. In the Boys 40x20 event we have 41 teams spread over 6 divisions, while the Girls 40x20 event has attracted 17 teams divided into 3 divisions. Our 60x30 event has attracted 4 teams, finally our second ever One Wall event has attracted 10 teams with 6 in the Boys & 4 in the Girls. This means we have SEVENTY TWO Club teams taking part this year which is an increase of 8 from last year.
Féile provides an opportunity for:
Under 14 players to participate in an annual Festival of Handball/Hurling/Camogie and Gaelic Football/Ladies Gaelic Football.
Clubs to experience playing against teams from other Counties/Provinces.
Clubs to foster links with other Clubs in other Counties/Provinces.
