It's so refreshing seeing an old outdoor Handball alley given a new lease of life, especially ones with some tradition behind them.
The two outdoor 3-Wall courts at Edmund Rice College in Glengormley, just north of Belfast had fallen into a dilapidated condition, but driven by local Antrim Handballer Paul Graham, a full refurbishment has seen a remarkable turn around.
Power hosing, new tar, front wall painting, floor markings painted, and finished off with wall graphics, it really does look great now.
With a strong tradition of Handball in the school, it is expected that this new facility along with some coaching initiatives will see an increase in the number of pupils playing Handball regularly in the area.
