There will be a 60x30 softball doubles tournament in Cavan (Virginia/Kingscourt) on Saturday July 7th.
The grades are the Cavan Open are A Doubles (senior/intermediate), B Doubles (Junior A, Masters A) and C Doubles (Junior B, Masters B). Players are welcome to play in grades 'above themselves' e.g. strong Junior B teams may enter the B grade etc.
- Depending on entry numbers, grades may be amalgamated into an A Division and a drop down to the B for first-round losers.
- Games are on a 20-minute timed basis. There will be a plate in each grade.
- Refreshments will be provided on the day.
Among the entries already confirmed are Galway's Kevin Craddock and Declan Connaughton, last year's All-Ireland JD champions, and the runners-up from that competition, Cormac McMahon and Paul Fitzpatrick.
Entry deadline is midnight on Monday, July 2nd.
