Brady, Nash, McMahon and Ní Churaoin qualify for Open Singles finals

The stage is set for the finals of the Open Singles at the oneills.com World 4-Wall Championships following the conclusion of the semi-finals today.

In the Ladies Open Singles final (Sunday, 10am), Limerick’s Martina McMahon meets Galway’s Ciana Ní Churraoin. Both players were comprehensive winners in their respective semi-finals – McMahon powered her way to a 15-5, 15-5 win over Team Ireland captain Fiona Tully while Ní Churaoin ran out a 15-10, 15-5 winner over her doubles partner Niamh Heffernan.

In the Men’s Open Singles semi-finals, Paul Brady rolled back the years with a superb performance as he ousted number one seed Martin Mulkerrins on a 15-11, 15-3 scoreline.

Brady takes on Clare’s Diarmaid Nash in the final after the Tuamgraney left-hander earned an impressive 15-7, 15-13 win over Cork’s David Walsh.

In the Ladies Open Doubles, McMahon and Aoife McCarthy will face Ní Churraoin in the final.

The Men’s Open Doubles semi-finals were still ongoing at the time of writing.
