Senior titles for Meagher and Coyle
There was a great day’s play in Kingscourt today at the 2nd Level Colleges 40x20 Championships with some really tight games. The Senior Winners were as follows, Tipperary’s Sinéad Meagher, St. Mary’s School Nenagh captured the Girls Singles title while the Boys Senior Singles title went to Gavin Coyle Ballybay Community College.
At the end of the day Galway finished with two titles while the remainder of titles were spread throughout the country with Armagh, Clare, Cork, Kildare, Kilkenny, Monaghan, Tipperary and Tyrone all sharing one title a piece.
The 40x20 season has begun in earnest now with the first All Ireland’s decided. Some of these players will meet again through the season for more titanic tussles on the court. GAA Handball would like to thank Joe Masterson incoming Handball President for presenting the medals. We would also like to thank the Kingscourt club, the players, referees, parents/teachers and coaches for making the day such a success.
