4-Wall Inter-club Championships 2019

This year's 4-Wall Inter-club Championships takes place in central venues this Saturday 23rd November as Mullingar, Multyfarnham, Ballymore Eustace, St. Brigid’s Castleknock, Curraghboy and St. Comans play host to the top club teams as they battle for All Ireland success.

The Open competition which is being played in Mullingar and Multyfarnham Westmeath is very hard to call, but former winners Kells of Meath will fancy their chances of winning this title for a fifth time. The Kells team is a very strong unit but they have a tough semi-final clash with Munster champions Mallow of Cork before they can even think about the final. The second semi-final is equally as hard to call with the experience St. Paul’s team from Belfast up against a Moycullen team from Galway which have the Mulkerrins brothers being the backbone of the team. The final is fixed for 2pm and by Saturday evening we will know which of these very strong club teams will be crowned the 2019 4-Wall Open club team of the year, let the battle begin.

In the Junior competition Lisacul (Roscommon) face Carrickmore (Tyrone) in the first semi-final in St. Brigid’s at 11.30am with Broadford (Limerick) against Coolboy (Wicklow) in Ballymore Eustace at 11.30am. The final is down for decision at 2.30pm in Ballymore Eustace.

Finally, in the Junior B competition the action kicks off in Curraghboy at 11.30am with Liscarroll (Cork) taking on Kells (Meath) in the first semi-final with Bofield (Mayo) versus Breacach (Tyrone) also at 11.30 in St. Comans. The final is due to start at 2pm in Curraghboy.

A great days 4-Wall Handball is in store at these venues as the 2019 GAA Handball season comes to an end. It promises to be a cracking Inter-club series, so show your support for all your club teams that are in action this Saturday 23rd November.
