
The 2017 GAA Handball Myclubshop.ie 60x30 Nationals will take place in Wexford venues over the weekend of the 22nd & 23rd July. After last year’s very successful event which attracted increased numbers in all grades. The Mens & Ladies Open competitions is once again a singles event with ranking points on offer. The remaining Adult grades and the Junior events are Doubles competitions.
This year we have introduced a 11&U Boys and Girls (Fun Event) similar to the 40x20 Nationals & One Wall Nationals to encourage the younger players to play 60x30.
CLOSING Date for Entries is FRIDAY 23rd June.
The Entry Fee for the events which have been discounted in a bid to attract greater numbers to the competition are as follows:
- €20 for the Open Singles
- €30 for the Adult Doubles
- €20 for the Junior Doubles Grades
Note: Doubles pairings in the Junior events must come from the same county. In the case where a player has no partner within the county please email austin.mckenna.handball@gaa.ie and they will be paired up with other players who are looking for partners. Doubles fee is per doubles team and not per person.
Please Note:
- Entries will only be accepted through the online system and can be paid for by credit card, laser card or cheque.
- No entries can be accepted after the closing date.
- Players can only enter one grade.
- All matches in the 60x30 Adult Nationals will be 2 games to 15 and tie-break to 11, this may change subject to the numbers that enter.
- The 60x30 Balls to be used will be as per our Official Handball & Equipment Guide.
- GAA Handball reserves the right to amend grades or entries if they feel it is necessary.
- If numbers are low in certain grades, that particular grade will not be run, with that grade being merged with another grade.
- GAA Handballs decision will be final in such matters.
- By entering this competition you automatically agree to be available to play on both nationals weekend days as above.
- Please note you will get a conformation email back from myclubfinances.com to confirm that your entry was successful.If you don’t receive this email conformation then you must complete the registration process again.
- Nationals Grading (40x20, 60x30)
- B grade: for Junior Players (see note below)
- C grade: for Junior B Players
- Anyone winning an All Ireland title, immediately moves up to the next grade once the championship finishes except Junior B which stays in that grade until the end of the year.
- Please note there will be a plate competitions in all events subject to required numbers entering.
Grades:
- Mens Open Singles: Players must be eligible to play in Inter County Senior & Open Championship Grade. Players must be 18 years of age or over at 1st January 2017.
- Ladies Open Singles: Players must be eligible to play in Inter County Senior & Open Championship Grade. Players must be 17 years of age or over at 1st January 2017.
- Mens B Doubles: Open to Intermediate & Junior Players (only 1 Intermediate player allowed in a doubles team, i.e. two Intermediate players cannot team up together). Must not have won a Mens B Doubles (or above) or underage grades (17&U, 19&U) in Irish Nationals. Must be 16 years of age or over at 1st January 2017.
- Mens C Doubles: Must be eligible to play Junior B Grade. Must not have won a Mens C Doubles (or above) or any 15&U, 17&U, 19&U in Irish Nationals. Must be 16 years of age or over at 1st January 2017.
- Ladies B/C Doubles: Must be eligible to play Junior Grade in 60x30. Must not have won a Ladies B/C Doubles (or above) or underage grades (17&U, 19&U) in Irish Nationals. Must be 16 years of age or over at 1st January 2017.
- Masters Doubles: Must be 40 or over on Sunday 23rd July 2017.
- Masters B Doubles: Must be eligible to play Masters B Grades. Must be 40 or over on Sunday 23rd July 2017. Must not have won a Masters B Doubles title in Irish Nationals.
- Silver Masters Doubles: Must be 45 or over on Sunday 23rd July 2017. Must be eligible to play Silver Masters Grades.
- Silver Masters B Doubles: Must be eligible to play Silver Masters B Grades. Must be 45 or over on Sunday 23rd July 2017. Must not have won a Silver Masters B Doubles title in Irish Nationals.
- Golden Masters Doubles: Must be 50 or over on Sunday 23rd July 2017.
- Golden Masters B Doubles: Must be eligible to play Golden Masters or Emerald Masters B Grades. Must be 50 or over on Sunday 23rd July 2017. Must not have won a Golden Masters B or Emerald Masters B Doubles title in Irish Nationals.
- Diamond Masters Doubles: Must be 60 or over on Sunday 23rd July 2017.
- Ruby Masters Doubles: Must be 65 or over on Sunday 23rd July 2017.
- 11 & Under Boys and Girls Doubles: (Fun Event) Players must be 11 or Under on the 23rd July 2017.
- 13 & Under Boys and Girls Doubles:

For players to be eligible for the above Junior grades then they must meet the age requirement on the last day of the competition, i.e. for 13 & Under players, the player must be 13 or Under on the 23rd July 2017.
GAA Handball reserve the right to move a player up a grade if they feel this is not a suitable grade.
