Weekend Round up

A host of venues played host to various grades of 60x30 finals yesterday as the singles titles of 2016 were decided. Dublin were the form county of the weekend taking home four titles with Wexford and Tipperary next in line with three followed by Mayo and Roscommon on two titles apiece while Carlow, Laois, Tyrone, Westmeath, Clare and Limerick all took home one title each. 

In total a total of 11 counties took home titles while there was eye catching wins for Roscommons Fiona Tully in the Ladies Minor Singles over Tipperary's Sinead Meagher while Limerick's Katie McCarthy only 24 hours after competing in the Ladies Senior Doubles Final took the Ladies Junior Singles title with victory over Galway's Janet Connaughton. 

Keith Burke from Dublin took the Junior Singles title with victory over Cavan's Cormac McMahon while Wexford's Galen Riordan secured the U21 title defeating Tyrone's Ryan Mullan. In the Over 35's grade Wexford's Gavin Buggy accounted for Mayo's Vinny Moran while Tipperary's David Moloney received a walkover in the Masters final from Wexfords Tommy Hynes.
