Entries are now closed for this years Irish Wall-Ball Nationals and with the event growing in stature every year, GAA Handball are delighted to confirm huge numbers of 400+ competitors.
What is also hugely exciting is the depth of quality in both the Mens & Ladies Open grades, with this year's events easily containing the most competitive field of Irish players since the tournaments inception.
The Mens Open includes reigning two time champion Conor McElduff, and former two time champion Robbie McCarthy. Also in the mix are the last three runners-up Martin Mulkerrins, Darragh Daly & Killian Carroll, and two former Mount Talbot Ranking Title holders Paudi Quish & Conall McCavitt.
In the Ladies Open there is three time champion Lorraine Havern & 2014 champion Martina McMahon. Two Dutch players will be in attendance as the European #1 & #4 Miranda Scheffer & Harmke Siegersma. Further Irish challenges will come from Ciana Ni Churraoin & Maeve McElduff as well as a host of young stars in a 15 strong field.
In a similar format to last year, the Mens & Ladies Open Finals will be the main focus for Saturday evening, a move which saw unprecedented attendance numbers watch the Open Finals, creating an electric atmosphere in Breaffy House.
- Please note due to a significant increase in participation numbers this year that no fixture requests can be entertained.
- Draws will be released in full early next week, with preliminary playing schedules released as soon as completed.
- Grades with large entry numbers can expect to start on Friday.
