A mouthwatering all Irish final takes places today in California (12 noon local time) in the 69th US 4-Wall Nationals.
Galway's Martin Mulkerrins sensationally knocked out the reigning three time champion Killian Carroll 21-13, 21-19 in last nights SF. He will face Cavan's Paul Brady, who blitzed Arizona's Dave Fink 21-1, 21-3 in the second SF.
26 year old Mulkerrins has made the final once previously, falling to todays opponent Brady. 39 year old Brady however is one win away from equalling the record 11th title, held by Mexican great Naty Alvarado Snr. Meanwhile in the Ladies event, Ireland is well represented with Catriona Casey, Fiona Tully & Ciana Ni Churraoin all in the SF stages, joined by New Yorker Dannielle Daskalakias. The Ladies SF's are set from 10am Saturday local time.
