​Ulster GAA Handball She’s Ace Ladies Conference

As the GAA Handball One Wall Schools initiative continues to advance in terms of growth and popularity, Ulster GAA have taken the added step of a major promotion of the scheme through female participation.

A major Development and Promotional conference for ladies Handballers in schools throughout the province will go ahead on Friday 24th March. An event packed with tips, information and practical sessions from top experts in the Girls, this intriguing look at the sport will be staged at Loughmacrory's impressive Wallball Arena and Clubrooms in County Tyrone.

One-Wall Handball has seen incredible growth in the past 8 years in Ireland. Since the launch of the biggest Tournament in Europe, the One Wall Nationals, at a single venue, 1000s have converged each year to the Breaffy Sports Arena in July. The spin-off has been immense too with events now growing all over Ireland and Europe with the venue in Loughmacrory staging one of the biggest in the Lough Wall-Ball Showdown every Summer.

A quality line up of speakers who will be on site coaching and delivering presentations include; Fiona Shannon (3 time World Ladies Senior Handball Champion), Lorraine Havern (4 time Irish Senior Ladies Wall-Ball Champion) & Darragh Daly (GAA Handball National Development Officer). On top of the Handball expertise, Ulster GAA staff Ryan Mellon, Kevin McGuigan & Garreth Thornton will be on hand to  provide invaluable insight into Performance Analysis, Nutrition, and Planning to Perform.

All schools in the province have been invited to bring students along to this event, which is free for all to attend. All players interested in getting involved or advancing their game are advised to request their schools to contact Ulster GAA. It is a terrific opportunity not to be missed.

The She's Ace Ladies GAA Handball conference will take place from 10am to 2.30pm on Friday 24th March and all participants will receive a unique free GAA Handball gear pack, with lunch provided for all on the day.
