Top seeds all comfortably through in Softball QF’s

The top seeds in the 2019 MyClubShop.ie Senior Softball Championship are all safely through to next Saturday's SF's in Croke Park after several strong showings on Saturday.

Reigning Men's champion Robbie McCarthy defeated Carl Browne in straight games 21-1, 21-9 as he closes in on his 8th title. He will now face Gavin Buggy who had an easier than expected win over Gary McConnell, keeping last years semi-finalist to single figures in both games, 21-4, 21-6,

Martin Mulkerrins overcame a strong challenge from David Hope, losing the opener before prevailing in three games to advance to his first Senior Softball SF. He will face Softball legend Eoin Kennedy, who took down Joe McCann 21-6, 21-10.

In the Ladies, Aishling O'Keeffe avenged her recent Nationals defeat to Aoife Holden, this time coming out on top after three games, whilst Ciara Mahon held off teenager Leah Doyle by the minimum in the first before pushing on to win a dominant second game.

Times will be confirmed this afternoon for this coming Saturday's SF's at Croker.
