The late Brendan Nichol, RIP

GAA Handball wishes to pass on its deepest condolences to the Nichol family, Brendan who was heavily involved in Na Fianna Handball Club in 1970s and 1980s, while serving as a member of the executive. The late Brendan was a brother to multiple All-Ireland Champion Elizabeth.

The death has occurred of Brendan Nichol (Lucan, Co. Dublin and formerly of St. Joseph’s Place and Aughrim St, Dublin 7) June 19th, 2024 (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family, at St. James’ Hospital. Beloved husband of Martina and much-loved dad of Peter and Joseph. Sadly, missed by his loving wife, sons, Joseph’s partner Jane and Peter’s partner Veronika, brothers Kevin, Paddy and Robert, sister Elizabeth, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours Tommy and Mary, the scouting community, and his beloved dog Juke.

Reposing at his residence on Friday evening (June 21st) between 5pm to 10pm. Removal on Saturday morning (June 22nd) to St Mary’s Church, Lucan arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Esker Lawn Cemetery.
