The John West sponsored Softball Féile na nGael Handball competition took place on Saturday last with a range of teams descending to Wexford for an action packed day of big alley action. Thanks to all the clubs who travelled and to all the Wexford venues for the very generous hospitality it was much appreciated.
It was a memorable double for the girls of Loughmacrory and the boys of Talbots Inch as they both claimed the Division 1 Softball Title, a few short weeks after capturing the 4-Wall title respectively. Loughmacrory proved worthy winners of the girls Division 1 with an impressive victory over Kilfane. In the boys Division 1 Talbots Inch denied the boys from Loughmacrory a famous double by defeating them with some fine displays of handball by all players.
GAA Handball would like to thank all the Wexford venues for their hospitality and especially all the volunteers at each venue who ran everything so smoothly on the day.We also thank all the coaches, parents, the National and Local Féile organising committee’s, but most important of all, we would like to congratulate all the players for contributing to such a brilliant day of Handball that will live long in their memories.
