In his speech following last Saturday's All-Ireland Minor Softball Singles Final, GAA Handball president Dessie Keegan spoke directly to the new champion Billy Drennan.
"I've never seen a cooler man in the handball alley," he said, "and I haven't seen a minor player, in a long, long time, who showed such a vast array of shots. We are so excited to have you in handball and see where you are going to go with your game."
Drennan is not just a star in the Handball court though. In 2019 he finished top scorer in the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship with 2-66 in nine matches, earning himself a place on the Electric Ireland Minor Star Hurling Team of the Year.
