Millmount HC, Co. Louth held a very successful promotional handball family fun day at St Mary’s Diocesan school last Sunday (29th April 2018).
A large crowd of one hundred plus, attended the event, and were treated to some fantastic handball action from a top class line up of GAA Handball stars.
Limerick’s Martina Mc Mahon and Armagh’s Megan Mc Cann performed brilliantly in a Ladies exhibition match, both players had the crowd captured in excitement from start to finish with their superb powerful kill shots, rallies, passing shots, speed and fitness levels were clearly displayed from both players. They gave their all in a fantastic display of ladies handball.
In the men’s exhibition match, David Hope (Offaly) and Sean Kerr (Tyrone) also put on a top-class display of handball skills. Both players from the off chased and rallied for every ball, the lightening pace and fitness levels displayed on court from both players throughout the match was very enjoyable experience for everyone.
The club would like to thank Martina, Megan, Sean, David for taking time to chat and have photographs taking with the supporters and also to GAA Handball President Joe Masterson for his valuable contribution on the day. The wish congratulations to all of the raffle winners on the day, and a special thank you to Leanne for her creative face painting.
