Millmount handball club played host to a elite line up of GAA Handball All Stars at St Mary's diocesan school last Saturday. Martina Mc Mahon, Aisling Reilly, Niamh Heffernan, Aisling Mullan, Megan Mc Cann, Pat Murphy and Sean Kerr combined with local adult and juvenile club players for what turned out to be superb and memorable occasion for everyone involved at the club. After a very competitive and entertaining series of round robin matches the eventual winners were Megan Mc Cann and Pat Murphy defeating Martina Mc Mahon and Keenan Harrison 12-8 in the final to lift the STRICTLY Globe trophies. Also on the day the elite players teamed up with our younger players for a Top Ace Target score competition. There was plenty of fun and excitement in this event eight teams competed vigorously throughout, the partnership and accuracy of Niamh Heffernan and James Mc Donald proved successful on the day to win with a fabulous combined score of 21 Aces.
