Meath & Cork seal Senior Doubles titles

Two thrilling tiebreak finishes saw Cork duo Catriona Casey & Aishling O'Keeffe win a record equaling 6th All-Ireland Ladies Senior 4-Wall Doubles title, whilst Meath's Brian Carroll & Gary McConnell claimed a dramatic Men's title.

Casey & O'Keeffe were in control before Kildare's Mollie Dagg & Pauline Gallagher took a deserved second game win to force the tiebreak. But the momentum swung back from the off in the tiebreak as Casey's class shone through with a series of long range kill shots, eventually winning 11-1. The win draws them level on top of the record books with six titles, alongside Belfast sisters Fiona Shannon & Sibeal Gallagher.

Having came through three consecutive tiebreaks, Meath's Carroll & McConnell showed they had the nerve for the big game. Despite starting as slight underdogs they snatched a tense opener 21-20. Galway were in control for the majority of the second game before a late charge, but like the Ladies Final before, the momentum swung from the off with Meath taking an early lead that they never looked like giving up, much to the joy of their vocal support.

In the Minors, there was a double for Kilkenny. Amy Brennan avenged her singles final defeat when she and partner Nathania Jackson produced some thrilling pieces of play in the closing stages to win an 11-10 tiebreak against Tyrone's Codagh Munroe & Cloda Nic Con Midhe. That was followed by a dominant straight game win for Kyle Jordan & Conor Holden in the Men's Minor against Sligo's Cormac Finn & Eoin Kerrigan.
