This weekends see the Round of 16 60x30 Senior Singles take place, with the biggest name in the draw being reigning Champion, Dublin's Eoin Kennedy. Kennedy makes his first bow in this years Championship and fans will be eager to see what sort of form he is in, as the Dubliner did not make the trek to Calgary for last months World Championships.
Kennedy faces Limericks Paudi Quish today in Talbots Inch, after Quish saw off Offaly's David hope in a tiebreak midweek. This is one of 5 mens matches today, as 3 time champion Robbie McCarthy receives a bye from Colm Jordan, and Cavan's James Brady also receives a walkover from current Doubles champion Brian Carroll, who has failed to recover in time from a broken finger.
Na Fianna hosts a tasty double header with Ducksy Walsh taking on last years Intermediate winner Gary McConnell, before Gavin Buggy takes on Mayo's Vinny Moran. Morans clubmate Joe McCann is also in action, in St Comans, as he faces Dublin's Carl Browne at 2pm.
At Hospital, Ger Coonan faces Kilkenny's Ciaran Neary after Neary had a dominant mid week win over Patrick Clerkin. The last remaining fixture of the round will take place on Tuesday when Dessie Keegan faces Limerick's CJ Fitzpatrick in Moycullen at 7.30pm.
The Ladies Doubles Championship is down to the SF stage, with reigning champions Catriona Casey & Aishling O'Keeffe facing Kilkenny's Ciara Mahon & Mary Phelan fighting out for the right to face Limerick's Martina McMahon & Cathy Foley in the final, after they were provided a w/o from Kerry in their SF.
