Dublin’s Eoin Kennedy has advanced to another Hardball Senior Singles All Ireland Final after overcoming Mayo’s Vinny Moran over three games in Mullingar on Saturday.
Kennedy took the first 21-11, but Moran fought back in the second to snatch it 21-19. In the third the Dubliner made no mistake and took the tie-break 21-14.
In Sunday's second semi-final played in Cullen (Cork), Limerick’s CJ Fitzpatrick came out on top as he defeated Kerry’s Dominic Lynch over three games.
In the first Lynch edged it narrowly on a 21-18 score-line, Fitzpatrick fought back in the second to take it 21-6 to setup a tie-break. In the third Fitzpatrick started brightly and took an early lead before extending it, in the end he comfortable won it 21-3.
Fitzpatrick now face the eight times winner Eoin Kennedy of Dublin on Saturday 4th June. Venues and times to be confirmed during the week.
