GAA Handball can today confirm that a decision has been made to relocate the hosting of the 2018 Junior Nationals Finals Weekend on April 14th & 15th from Wexford/Carlow, to Cavan/Monaghan.
After consultation with the original host venue, a number of key courts have become unavailable for play, and thus a decision to move the tournament to a base of Kingscourt and surrounding venues was swiftly made. We apologise for any inconveniences this may have caused, but given the prestige of the Irish Junior Nationals, and the fact that 6 members of Team Ireland will be decided from this event, this decision was made in the best interest and the respect of the tournament and the players.
We would like to thank Wexford/Carlow for their willingness to host a major event in our Handball calendar, and also to the Cavan/Monaghan venues for stepping in at short notice.
We are very confident that the tournament will still prove to be an excellent showcase of the best juvenile Handball talent in the world.
