Handball interest in Ballyboden

The Ballyboden St Enda's GAA club in South Dublin are currently making a push to develop Handball as part of their club activities, but having no tradition of the game, they are looking for anyone in the surrounding area who is interested in playing Handball to contact them to help kick start the growth.

Currently the club have fine outdoor facilities at the Sancta Maria College in Rathfarnham, comprising of one full size outdoor One-Wall court, and a second outdoor 3 wall style court (with 40x20 dimensions). The club will be running some taster/exhibition sessions in the coming weeks, and will also be looking to run a Coaching Course in the not too distant future as well.

To sustain long term growth, the club will be targeting youth players to take up the game, but also see a major opportunity for adult members to get involved as a recreational activity.

There is a current dearth of Handball Clubs in South Dublin so it is nice to see such a prominent GAA Club, a club who won the 2016 All-Ireland Club Football Title, making strides to develop GAA Handball for their members.
