GAA Handball can confirm that Galway's Frances Curran has been appointed Team Ireland Female Liaison for this summers World Handball Championships in Minneapolis.
The current Galway Chairperson, and former County Secretary, Frances has been a mainstay in Galway Handball for years and has always been on hand to help run National events, and is currently busy in her role as Connacht Feile Coordinator preparing for next weeks Feile na Gael in Galway.
It will be her second time travelling with an official Team Ireland, having previously travelled in 2009 with the Irish Junior Team to Chicago for the US Junior Nationals.
"I would like to thank GAA Handball for giving me this opportunity. I am looking forward to working with Team Coach Michael Finnegan, Team Ireland Members, their families and GAA Handball staff to ensure that all team members represent their country with pride and passion on and off the courts."
