GAA Handball have held preliminary discussions with Cumann na mBunscoil in relation to improving the structures of the GAA Handball - CnaB link, and essentially increasing participation levels of children playing Handball nationwide.
One of the pressing issues agreed that was required was for there to be a CnaB Handball Rep per county, who would be the contact teacher within that county for schools expressing an interest in Handball, and for helping coordinate the annual County Blitz days.
So with this in mind, GAA Handball are on the lookout for volunteers who are willing to put their names forward for the role, which will go a long way to enhancing the development of Handball in Schools nationwide. If you feel you would be suitable, or know someone willing to take on this role and would like further information, please contact National Development Officer Darragh Daly on development.handball@gaa.ie. Ideally this person would have knowledge of Handball, but this is not totally imperative.
There may already be someone in your counties who is already fulfilling such a role competently, and if this is the case then I would be grateful if you could please forward on their contact details. Please note that any volunteer who puts their name forward must be Garda Vetted / Access NI approved.
Information Required - Name, School, Email, Tel
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated with this matter.
Regards, GAA Handball
