Brady equals US Nationals record

Paul Brady has equaled the record of 11 US 4-Wall Nationals titles, tying with Mexican great Naty Alvarado Snr.

Brady saw off Galway's Martin Mulkerrins 21-11, 21-7 in Saturday nights final in California, erutping with emotion upon sealing the final ace. In doing so the Mullahoran man achieved a long time goal, one that many felt was slipping away from him, having lost in two finals and withdrawing injured in one SF all within the last three years.

Now at 39 years of age, this was a huge win for Brady, widely regarded internationally as the best player to have ever graced a handball court.

Meanwhile in the Ladies grade, Catriona Casey bounced back from an opening game loss against Ciana Ni Churraoin to win her 4th US 4-Wall Nationals title on a score line of 4-21, 21-8, 11-0.
