Big Wallball Weekend in store at the 2019 Lough Showdown
The entry deadline is approaching for what promises to be another fantastic social weekend of GAA Handball action at the 6th annual Lough Wallball Showdown in Loughmacrory, County Tyrone.
Closing Date for Entry to the 2019 Lough Wallball Showdown is Monday 8th July 2019. Entry is through the Online Link below but there will one Registration Evening from 6pm-7pm this Wednesday 3rd July at the Loughmacrory One Wall Handball Arena. Entry fees and details are below.
The club, which hosted the Ulster Wallball Championships last weekend, has seen over 200 competitors at every Lough Showdown event in its first 5 years, with over 250 players competing in two of those seasons (2016 and 2017).
This year has another very exciting event planned and with the projected heatwave to come in July 2019, the tournament to be scheduled on the weekend of Friday 19th to Sunday 21st July is set to be another memorable one.
The Open events were won in 2018 by Conor McElduff (Tyrone) and Megan McCann (Armagh) with previous winners including Wally Amaro (Puerto Rico), Catriona Casey (Cork), Martina McMahon (Limerick) and Lorraine Havern (Down). With a large series of grades down for decision and the guarantee of 3 matches on the weekend for players – losers in the opening two rounds of all entered competitions drop into the B event in that grade – we are in for another cracking weekend of action by the Lough.

The SIXTH GAA Handball 'Lough One Wall Showdown 2019' will take place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July 2019. Some matches may take place for local players on Friday evening 19th July.
