GAA Handball launches “Global Coaches Day” Recognition Programme taking place on Friday 25 September
Celebrating the coaches who make a difference during the European Week of Sport.
GAA Handball announced its participation in Global Coaches Day, taking place on Friday, 25 September, during the European Week of Sport (celebrated 23 September to 30 September).
Global Coaches Day recognises the dedication and influence of coaches worldwide - many of whom work voluntarily and make a lasting impact on athletes, participants, clubs, and wider communities. The day also encourages people to express gratitude to their coaches through social media and to help promote a more active lifestyle, while highlighting the valuable work coaches do in supporting athletes and fostering a love of sport.
Three simple ways to take part:-
GAA Handball is inviting NGBs and LSPs to help recognise the coaches who make a difference. Organisations can take part in the following ways:
Post it: Choose one of the ready-to-use graphics and share it this Friday, 25 September.
Personalise it: Use the Canva templates below to recognise a particular coach and explain the difference they have made.
Pass it on: Forward this email and the campaign materials to your clubs and wider network.
The template includes both square and landscape graphics, along with some simple ideas for recognising coaches. The graphics can be customised using the Canva templates:
