GAA Handball facilities range from traditional outdoor alleys to modern indoor complexes.  

There are three main types of GAA Handball Courts: 

Wallball Court: Often integrated into sports halls and local GAA club grounds, offering accessible play options, particularly for schools and community initiatives. 

4-Wall Court: The dimensions of the court are 40 feet by 20 feet (Small Alley). It originated in the US before making its way to Ireland. It is a key part of the Irish competition structure. Alongside Wallball it is recognised as one of the two codes at the triannual world championships.  

60x30 Court: The dimensions are 60 feet by 30 feet (Big Alley). This is the traditional Irish version of handball, with courts found both indoor and outdoor in many GAA clubs across Ireland. It caters for the Softball and Hardball codes in Ireland.   

The National Handball & Croke Park Community Centre

Located beside Croke Park, the national centre offers three 4-Wall courts, including a show court with seating for 530 people, a 60x30 show court with seating for 180, a Wallball show court and two Wallball practice courts. 

It has played host to several Irish Nationals and All Ireland Championship tournaments since 2023 and was one of several venues to host the 2024 World 4-Wall Championships and a stop on the European Wallball tour.
