The County Boards operate as a unit within the overall structure of the GAA Handball. They are responsible for promoting, controlling, and managing handball activity within their county, reporting to the Provincial Handball Council and GAA Handball.
The typical structure of a County GAA Handball Committee includes the following key components:
County Management Committee
This group has the authority to make decisions between full county board meetings, covering finance, administration, and development.
Chairperson: Leads the board and oversees administration.
Vice-Chairperson: Assists the Chairperson.
Secretary: Manages administration, scheduling of games, records, and correspondence to players, other county boards and GAA Handball.
Treasurer: Handles all financial accounts and reports.
Juvenile Officer: Responsible for the promotion of juvenile’s games.
Communications Officer (PRO): Responsible for promotion and media of handball within the county.
Child Protection Officer: Responsible for the safeguarding of participants under 18 years of age, by ensuring that coaches within clubs are Garda vetted and adhere to the codes of conduct.

Club Delegates: Clubs send representatives to the County Committee meetings.
Provincial Representatives: Each county sends representatives to their respective Provincial Handball Council and the annual GAA Handball congress.
