This Saturday sees the cream of female juvenile handballers in the country represent their Provinces at the 2015 Girls Interprovincial Finals at Kingscourt.
Played in a doubles format, 5 pairings per province will each contest a 1 x 21 ace game, with all scores added up on an aggregate basis. This years fixtures sees Ulster take on Leinster, whilst reigning champions Munster face Connacht in the two SF's.
Ulster are spear headed by Team Ireland 17&U representative Eilise McCrory, whilst there is also quality through the likes of Armagh duo Niamh Coleman & Megan McCann among others. Leinster have the All-Ireland U14 Doubles champions Mollie Dagg & Jade Treacy among their ranks, this time seperated into the U14 & U15 grades, whilst the talented Leah Doyle is a strong name in the U16's.
Current champions Munster boast a very strong squad on paper, with Team Ireland 15&U rep Caitriona Millane joining All-Ireland U16 & Minor champions Sinead Meagher & Doireann Murphy in their SF against Connacht. Connacht themselves have some big names, including 13&U Junior Nationals victor Niamh Heffernan, All-Ireland U16 DOubles champions Maggie Byrne & Dayna Finn, and skilful Roscommon player Fiona Tully.
Action in both SF's gets underway at 12pm, with both court 1 & 2 in action concurrently.
