GAA Handball Fans to decide the 2010 National Handball Match of the Year... 

2010 has been another hugely exciting year for GAA Handball both on and off the court as the progressive nature of the sport continues to surge in an upward curve. There has certainly been plenty to cheer about in relation to a season which has seen 12 new clubs formed around the country and the prospect of 18 more to come in 2011, has seen record numbers in One Wall and Irish 40x20 Nationals, a major increase in entries in 60x30 Softball and Hardball (the largest in both in over 11 years), an increase in registered members, the launch of new One Wall Handball facilities in at least 40 new schools all around the country and over 400 guests attending a super National All-Star Awards Banquet. Club and County activities are also very much on the increase with a host of newly launched tournaments and events all over the country also.

It has also been a year which has seen spectacular matches on the court of play in all codes. Many matches spring to mind throughout the year as being of the 'classic variety' and everyone will have their own views on this one. This latest Poll is to find the Spectators 'National Match of the Year' with voting now underway on the national official handball website. The final match and poll will be signified in an end of year review and the players involved in that match to receive the newly launched 'Legends of the Game' jersey items listed below and 8 GAA Handball Fans who correctly email in the match of the year, as decided by the online Poll Vote, will win a GAA Handball Merchandise Pack.

All GAA Handball Fans are asked to do 2 things:

The Winner of Spectators 'National Match of the Year' will be the one which finishes top of the Poll. If there is a Match which is not on the list and has more votes sent by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  then that will be announced as the Spectators 'National Match of the Year'. The players involved in that top voted Match of the Year will receive an O'Neills Sport €40 Voucher (swponsored by O'Neills International Sports) and a new 'Legends of the Game' handball jersey, shorts and gloves.

The first 8 emailed entries who correctly chose the Spectators 'National Match of the Year' will receive a unique GAA Handball Merchandise Pack.
