Ireland's One-Wall challenge in the Open grades has unfortunately come to an end at the SF stages but both Cork's Catriona Casey & Down's Lorraine Havern can be proud off their efforts as they saw off all comers before falling to the World #1 & #2 Dannielle Dakalakis & Sandy Ng of the USA in the Ladies Open grade.
Both girls never hit the heights they are capable of but showed that they have the game to mix with the worlds best. Casey will now turn their attentions to the Four Wall event, but Havern will compete in the One-Wall Open Doubles Final tomorrow with her partner Karen McConney against Dannielle Dakalakis & Sandy Ng (USA)
Meanwhile there will be an all Irish Boys 19&U Final tomorrow in the One-Wall after Team Ireland rep Darren Doherty & Tyrone's Johnny Woods defeated Spain's Saxa Perella & New Yorks Kody Yan respectively as Ireland's juveniles begin to show their class on an internationals stage.
In the Ladies B section, Team Ireland rep Maeve McElduff's promising run the to SF stage has come to an end with a narrow 25-19 defeat to Spain's Monica Moya.
